Adelle 1st Kids Meal

We love to dine @ Waraku - East Coast Branch and had a membership since last yr. It is family friendly and they will give toys for children every time you visit the branch. We've been there so many times until the supervisor know us already and we got so many toys from there too... such as cars, motorcycle, walking duckies, bouncing lights balls, toy phones, toy mobile phones, etc...

Since Adelle is already 2 years old, we decided to let her eat Kids Meal since it comes with Kids toy (similar to MacD Happy meals) The Kids Meal comes with juice, dessert, main course (choice of pasta, udon, oya don), starter(salad, fried ebi, nuggets and sausage) and cost $6.80++ . Look at Adelle happy face! She really enjoyed the Kids meal and not forgetting the toys set!

Princess Danelle is 8 months old on 21st Feb

Danelle is getting more and more active. She can crawl, pull to stand and stand while holding on to the sofa/trolley. Good Job Baby!!

We have also started to train her to walk on the baby walker (not the usual dash around walker) but she didn't like it.... :P Other than that, she can hold her mag mag cup very well and she loves drinking water despite that she is a total breastfeed baby of no-water for 6months.

Danelle likes to play with jie jie and Adelle started to know how to sa-yang me mei now. It is always a happy sight to see them playing together and enjoying each other company. :)

She also enjoy 'riding' bicycle, reading books and playing jie jie toys especially the cooking and cleaning sets. So far she doesn't have separation anxiety and is ok with friends carrying her. She is very different from jie jie who is sticky to me and doesn't like strangers.

Adelle Progress in School

Adelle started CC on 1st Feb and few wks later, teacher Grace wrote to us via the communications book that Adelle is settling well and only cry in the morning. :)

Few days ago, Teacher Grace wrote to us that Adelle has improved a lot and we are looking forward to the "tear-less" day! :)

CNY

This year is Danelle 1st CNY while it's Adelle 3rd CNY. Since I got 2 girls so i can dressed them up in the same clothing... hahaha.... sounds like what my mum used to do when my sis and i were much younger... :P The other thing is Adelle starts to appreciate angbao and will give to me when she received it.

13th Feb - CNY eve

We were all dressed in our customised tees and went to my parents place for reunion dinner. It was my niece birthday on that day so my sis bought a cake to celebrate for her. After dinner, we brought Adelle & Danelle to River Angbao. It was so boring this year and the deco is so-so only.

When we back at home, i gave my gals red packet and they were busy opening up to see whats inside! ;)

14th Feb - 1st day of CNY

First stop was my parents place. Every year, my brother will get the lion dance troupe to go to my parents place on the 1st day of CNY. Well, my mum tot Adelle loves to watch lion dance and requested us to be there b4 the lion dance troupe arrive. However, Adelle got frightened by the loud sound and eversince then, she will cry whenever she hear the drum sounds of the lion dance... ;)

The next stop was my uncle house and followed by my aunty house. This year we have lesser place to go cos my dad' sister passed away last year. So we headed home after my aunty house and the gals get to take afternoon nap too. In the evening, we went out for dinner at Pizza hut cos it is Valentine Day and due to the CNY period, flowers prices went sky high so hubby didn't buy me any flowers this yr cos he say very EX!. :(

After dinner, we went to hubby sis's house before going over to Jack & Suping house for the CNY gathering. While hubby was busy playing cards with friends, Danelle started crawling on the mat! Eversince then, she started crawling here and there.

15th Feb - 2nd day of CNY

We went to my parents place for brunch as all my relatives will gather there and have their lunch. Get to see some of my cousins there too as it is once a year that they will go to my parents house.

In the evening, we went over to hubby eldest bro house and MIL was there. So finally Danelle have a pic with grandma. Hmm... come to think of it, Adelle never take a pic with grandma till now....

16th Feb - 3rd day of CNY

Another PH due to CNY 1st day fall on sunday. We went over to my brother place for visiting as he just bought an apartment near my parents house. Very big and spacious and Adelle likes to chase after the cat that they adopted. What surprise us that day was Danelle can stand on the sofa very steadily and shake here shake there.

21st Feb

We went to my 3rd Aunty new house as she just shifted to Sembawang so kind of house warming at the same time. Danelle and Kenneth(my cousin's son) took a pic. They are only 1 month apart but Kenneth looks bigger than Danelle...

Adelle School Outing @ Chinatown

CNY is around the corner and Adelle's CC organised an outing to Chinatown to bring the kids to see the CNY streets market and decoration on 8th Feb. I signed up Adelle for the outing and I also went cos she is in the PG class and parent have to accompany along. It cost $8 per child for the bus ride and lunch @ Mac Donald while adult pay for the transport cost.

We set off at 9am and everyone was wearing uniform except Adelle cos she is new. I didn't buy the uniform since Adelle is still in the 2 weeks of trial so no need to wear uniform during the trial period. All the kids whom went for the outing are N1 and above class. For PG, only Julian and Adelle went. Both of Julian parents went and I also met a mummy from N1 whom i get to know thr the SMH forum of the CC thread. :)

It was a short journey and we reached Chinatown around 9.30am. The kids walked in twos and the happiest moment was when they were at the candy store. Cos Teacher Jessica told them to pick any sweets that they want and put into a big bag where she paid for it and gave to the kids. :)

At around 11.30am, we head for lunch at Mac Donald. The kids were happily eating away their happy meal of nuggets, fries and milo while parents buy their own lunch. After lunch, we took the chartered bus back to CC. Adelle was crying when i am leaving the place but i got no choice cos i took half day leave and got to rush off to work. :(

Overall, it was an enjoying trip cos i get to meet some parents from N1 and know who are the kids in Adelle class as well. Look forward to the next outing.... :)

Our 3rd wedding anniversary photo

This year i decided to customise clothes for our anniversary photo shoot. Initially i wanted to buy a family tee from BP but didn't get to see any design that i like. Then i saw a BP on emboirdery polo tee so i placed an order of 4 tees in early Dec hoping to get it in time for the photo shoot session which is supposed to be in mid Dec.

However, things goes wrong last min... :( The seller contacted me and told me that the machine broke down! As it is very close to xmas so they won't be able to get it repaired in time. Thus, i can't have my emboirdery polo tees which i spent so much time doing up the design and selection with the seller.... so disappointed. But i didn't want to give up yet so I rescheduled my photo shoot date to Jan hoping that they can get the machine repair by then.

Well well it still doesn't work in the end and the seller called me back to inform me that machine is still down and she decided to refund me as she felt bad holding me up. :( Haiz.... how sad.....

Anyway since no customised polo tee, i decided to go for my plan B. Plan B is to let my gals wear the customised bhubu tee with their names inprinted on it. Thank God that i have got it done b4 xmas and the only challenge is to get customised tee with names for hubby and myself.

After searching thr the internet, i found it!! Yippee... i ordered online and to my horror, the quality of the tee was rather bad (very thin) and the color print is not the one i wanted. So i send back to redo as it is a money back guarantee online shop! Hehehe.... :P Few days later, i got the reprinted tee on a better quality tees and i was happy!

On 30th Jan, we went to our bridal studio and took several shots with the gals! It was very challenging as Adelle refuse to smile and didn't find any nice pic for her. Though we are entitled to 3 pics - 1 for family pic, 1 for Adelle and 1 for Danelle, we decided to take 2 family pic and 1 solo pic for Danelle. Not that we didn't want solo pic for Adelle but it was all badly taken. I think i can snap nicer and cuter pic for my princess Adelle! hehee...

Playdate @ Augustine House

Regina organised a playdate for Augustine and some of the june babies on 5th Feb. Danelle was invited so I took PM leave to bring Danelle there but we were late due to the rain. By the time we reached, some of them were about to leave... :( Only 4 babies were at the playdate - Augustine(host), Danelle, Kaley and Dylan. Danelle was moody and kept crying clinging on to me @ Aug's house.. Haiz... Nevertheless, we managed to snap some pics before Dylan left while Kaley was in her la-la-land. I am the last to leave since i am the last to reach and chit chat with Regina. Before i realised, Danelle fell asleep on my shoulder cos it was her nap time. No wonder she was so cranky.... :P

Adelle starts to go "school"

The first of school is 1st Feb which is a monday. So I took full day leave on monday and tuesday and half day for wed cos parent can accompany the child during the first 3 days.

Day 1

We reached the CC at 8.30am daily so that Adelle can eat the breakfast before the assembly starts at 9am. First of school was cereal with milk. Adelle only took a few bites as this is her first time eating cereal. After breakfast, we proceed to a music room for assembly. The children sang national anthem, school songs and nursery songs(chinese and english). Adelle didn't participate in the assembly as it was a new environment for her so she was busy playing with the toys in the music room. The teacher say it is ok and didn't insist Adelle to join in.

After assembly, the children line up and form a "train" to go back to the classroom. Adelle class is PG(Playgroup) and since there are only 4 childrens including Adelle, so they joined the N1 class for the time being. There are 3 teachers in that classroom but only 1 teacher call Grace is the PG teacher while the other teachers Jessica and Weng Lao Shi are taking care of N1 class. Adelle is the eldest in her PG class, next is Megan(a mix of Chinese Mum & English Dad) born in Feb, followed by Julian born in Mar and lastly Zen born in July. Zen just promoted to PG class on 1st Feb so he and adelle was good friend cos only 2 of them can't sit still and run around the room. The other 2 children are able to sit down and listen to teacher Grace teaching. Haiz... wonder when then Adelle can sit down and pay attention. After story telling time, it was free play for the children.

At 11+am, the children went to wash their hands to get ready for their lunch. Lunch of the day was rice with chicken meat and soup. Adelle seemed to enjoy the food as she ate all up and even ask for second helping. The teacher gave her some more rice and chicken and she finishes all again.

After lunch, it is time for shower. The children queue up and Adelle refused to be showered by the teachers so i showered her instead. After shower, it is time to nap. Once Adelle doze off, i quickly left the place and go for my lunch. I was soo hungry and thirsty as i didnt eat nor drink the whole morning. :(

At 4.30pm, i went to pick up Adelle and she seemed to have just stopped crying for a while. Teacher Grace told me that Adelle was crying non-stop when she woke up from her nap. No one seemed to be able to pacify her despite they offer her tea snacks, toys, etc. Adelle kept holding to her booster the whole afternoon until i came then she agreed to keep it inside the bag. We left the place at 5pm and when i asked Adelle whether she want to go school tomorrow and she said yes.

Day 2

Adelle went to school with me and today breakfast is bread. She ate up the whole piece of bread and joined the rest for assembly. I tried to sneak out during assembly and she cried when she couldn't find me. I quickly went back to the room and she stopped crying. Haiz.. so i end up accompanying her the whole morning until it is nap time. When i picked her up in the afternoon, she was not crying cos they are going to celebrate Megan birthday. Teacher told me that she cried a little bit when she woke up and much better than yesterday.

Day 3

We reached school in the morning and today is cereal again. Adelle doesn't like the cereal and only ate 1 or 2 spoons. So we joined the rest at the music room and i attempt to leave during the assembly this time. I hide at one corner while Adelle is crying. But less than 10mins, the teacher asked me to go back to attend to her cos she puke. Haiz... mission failed. So i stayed till her nap time then i go to work. It was a mad rush and in the evening time, my parents pick her up and say she was not crying.... :)

Day 4

The breakfast of the day was boiled egg and Adelle loves it. I left when they are having assembly and Adelle cried. The teachers especially Teacher Jessica managed to console her though she still cry on and off occassionally. What teacher Jessica did was she told Adelle that mummy go and buy chicken rice for her and Adelle stopped crying after that. :)

Day 5

I sent Adelle to CC and i left at 9am. The teacher had to grab Adelle from chasing after me while she was crying for mummy. It was so sad at that moment but i just have to let go and let Adelle to cry bah else it will never end. I called up at 10+am and Teacher Jessica told me that Adelle only cried for a while and was fine after the assembly. I was relieved to hear that Adelle is starting to accept and adjust to the new routine. Hope it will gets better as the day passes!
