SMH June 09 mummies gathering @ Town

During the last gathering, i post in the jun 09 thread asking if any mummies interested to meet. Well, a few mummies did response that they are keen and one mummy request me to organise. So i did and arrange on the first day (27th Aug) of Taka baby fair cos wanna go and see if can get any good buy at the same time. ;)

On that day, i put Danelle into the sling and we took MRT to Orchard. Hehe... my first experience to bring my baby out! Yes... first time cos never did it with Adelle. Danelle is much easier to manage cos she will zzZZzz once she gets into the sling and sleep. She only wakes up when she poo or hungry and she doesnt fuss. So i LOVE bringing her out!! :P Thus, i left Adelle at my mum place and brought Danelle to meet friends instead.

To my surprise, 19 mummies put up their names that they are coming but only 12 mummies turn up that day cos several of them fell sick last min. I made reservation @ Breeks cos it is spacious enough for the prams and mummies with babies. Get to know and talk to some mummies that didn't went to blurmom house gathering. Also the "regulars" mummies who went blurmom house gathering, went to this gathering as well. So get to c the babies are growing bigger. However this time round, the babies didn't get a chance to take picture together cos we only took 1 group photo.

Artistic Adelle

My sis recently opened an shop call Artz Graine which specialised in art classes and there is programme catered for children as young as 18mths. I brought Adelle to her shop opening house day and Adelle had fun. Look at my artistic Adelle in action. ;)

Princess Danelle is 2 months old on 21st Aug

2 months old Danelle loves to smile! She also gurgle and coo whenever we talk to her. Occassionally, we hear her squealing and laughing too! She loves pple talking to her and looking at her. Adelle jie jie loves kissing her and pat pat her too. Danelle can sleep from 12am and last till 5am. What an achievement for a young baby! Proud of her and just like jie jie who also sleep thr at 2nd month! Well done baby! :)



She is also taking 140-150ml feed per 3 hours when we bottle feed her. So hopefully she will grow fatter and chubby like jie jie last time. ;) As for height, we can see that she is growing longer everyday probably due to the genes?!? The most amazing thing is she got a strong neck and can lift her head upright when we carry her upright. There is also an occassion where we caught her flipping on our bed! Scary but luckily we caught her doing that!!

Princess Adelle is 19 months old on 16th Aug

Adelle is getting notti these days. She throws tantrum by faking cry with big tears. Well, i don't buy her trick... Only my mum and aunty will get "con" by her!

Other than notti, she is also quite playful now. She loves to wear sunglasses and be superman. Look at her in action.

Adelle know how to buckle seat belt of her high chair now. She will tell us "poo poo" whenever she pee or poo in her diaper. So it seemed like she is ready for toilet train but I have yet to convince her to sit on the potty leh... :(

Her vocab list has increase to sentences like "What is this?" and "Go where?". She loves ice cream and can say "ice cream" too. Other words that she know are "nice".

During the taka toys fair, hubby bought a golf set and she enjoyed playing them. Every nite when she reached home, she will tell us "ball ball" and start taking out the golf stick and ask us to play with her too! Does she has the professional golfer look?? ;p

Lastly, my greatest achievement for this month is I have managed to train Adelle to sleep on her own. Yeah!! On 8th Aug, i attempt put a mattress lying nxt to our bed and tell Adelle to sleep there. To our surprise, she happily lie down there with her pooh bear and boosters. On the first nite, she woke up several time and i "wrestle" with her and pat pat her back to sleep. On second nite, she woke up once and manged to sleep back after i pat her. Thereafter, she sleeps on her own and now she will ask us to put down the mattress for her afternoon nap and nite time too. :)

Massage session

I called up the massage lady when i delivered and due to c-sect, i only start the session in Aug which is 2 mths after my delivery. When the massage lady Mas came to my house, she say my tummy already shrink to quite small thus she give me a choice of package ie 3 sessions instead of the usual 5 or 7 sessions. Initially i was contemplating whether to go for 3 or 5 sessions but after the massage, i decided to just do 3 sessions. Reason being during the massage sessions, she didn't massage my tummy at all. Previously during Adelle's time, the massage lady massage leh?!?! Anyway Mas say she don't want to take the risk and not recommend to massage. Hence i find it a waste of my time & $ that she only did body massage and not tummy loh. The only thing she did was to apply a lemon burning cream on my tummy and use the clothe to wrap my tummy which i don't find it that effective to be honest. I didn't loose any weight after the 3 sessions and didn't find my tummy become smaller too. I think the hospital binder is more effective to shrink my tummy than the massage session. ;)

Anyway the massage session cost me $50 each time for 2 hrs. The only good thing is she provide baby massage and Danelle enjoys it!! :)

Adelle 18th mth jab

Yeah this is the last compulsory jab for Adelle!! :D Nowadays Adelle know what is call pain cos she cried and struggle but not for long. The next one that awaiting for Adelle will be the pneumococcal vaccination @ 2 years old but only 1 jab so shouldn't be too traumatic. ;p

Danelle first injection - 2nd Aug 09

Finally it's Danelle turn to go for the 6-in-1 jabs while we are almost done with Adelle jabs (left 18mths jab)!

Initially we plan to bring both of them for jabs but Adelle had minor flu that day so we let her off this time. ;) The package price for 6-in-1 @ NorthEast Clinic has increased plus we need to pay consultation charges for each visit now but still cheaper than PD price.

Danelle was sleeping away @ the clinic and only started crying when she kena poked by the doctor.

Doctor did a health assessment for Danelle and she is 4.7 kg and 55cm @ 6th wks old. Danelle is doing well especially she can lift up her head @ 5 weeks old.

We caught her flip on our bed @ 7 weeks old and Danelle weigh 5.2kg at 8 wks old.

SMH June 09 mummies gathering @ Blurmom's house

Yes, this is the first time that i attend june mummies gathering and first time bring Danelle out on my own! :) It was held at Blurmom's house which is CCK Crescent and thank god that hubby drove me there! Hehee.... And i shared cab with a Boon Keng mummy on the way back so save a bit of $ too. :p

It was fun to see babies lying on the mattress and "boxing" one another. Well, Danelle was named as "Sleeping Beauty" by the mummies cos she slept thoroughout the hours when we were at Blurmom's house. One mummy tried to wake her up and only successfully make her awake for few minutes b4 she zZz again. ;)

Blurmom's bedroom was our nursing room and the study room was the pumping room. ;) The "nursing" room is constantly filled with mummies except the time where we took a group photo. Blurmom ordered pizza for our lunch and another mummies bought subway cookie and sweet for us. Danelle and I were there from 11am till 3+pm then we left. Had fun chit chatting with the first and second time mummies cos everyone is very opened, chatty and shared abt handling babies, breastfeeding & labour experience. Look forward to the next gathering!! :)

Myanmar Maid

Have read a lot about Myanmar maid attitude and indeed it is true that they are rude, no manners and super big eater. My current maid is a typical one cos she doesn't say sorry when she did something wrong nor say thank u when you give them something. She can eat 1.5 cups of rice everyday and don't drink water thus she keep getting bad breath and sore throat quite often. Sometimes i wonder she is pregnant or i am the one previously cos she can eat more than me and yet still so skinny!

Incidence 1 - The second day that she started working with us, we went out for late lunch. Hubby was kind to order prawn roll to share and tell her "this one to share". Guess what happen next? She took the whole plate n put infront of her. I quickly took it away and put 2 pieces into a small plate and gave her instead. Giving her benefit of doubt that she doesn't understand the word "share". But after she finished the 2 pieces, she helped herself to the 3rd pieces without asking for permission. Not that i m stingy but if she ask me for another piece, i can give extra piece than she take without asking. Eversince then, we decided to portion out the food for her so that she can't be greedy. Initially she was ok to eat leftover food from the previous day. Now she will still eat but can tell that she doesn't like to eat anymore cos she will take very little rice and eat her biscuits at nite.

Incidence 2 - One morning, I found one of my 3 pieces toiletries set was chipped and I went to ask my maid what happen. She told me that she broke it when she was cleaning the toilet some time ago. But she quietly hide it and didn't tell me until i discovered. I was quite pissed that she kept quiet and didn't even apologise when i questioned her. Hubby went to tell her that she doesn't have manner and didn't apologise when she did something wrong. Only then, she came to say sorry to me very unwillingly.

Incidence 3 - One day she confessed to me that she took some oil without telling me and put into the rice to cook. I was like how and what you are trying to cook rice with oil?!? Since this is a trivial matter, i didn't pursue it further. Anyway she's a weirdo cos she put bread into water and soak it before eating it. Really disguisting.

Incidence 4 - Few days ago, she passed me a letter and asked me to post for her. So i paid and post for her. The next day then she asked me how much. Since it is only $0.60, so i told her it's ok and i will pay for it. She didn't even say thank u and just went off to her bedroom! So rude.

Incidence 5 - Baby Danelle is sleeping the same room with my maid. Every nite around 11pm to 2am, Danelle will occassionally eh-eh-eh and u know what? I am always on "alert" mode so I quickly run over from my bedrom to check out Danelle and saw that fellow still sleeping like a pig! This happened numerous times until hubby was pissed off with her and wake up her to tell her off. But it doesn't work cos even after hubby scolding, she still sleep like a pig these few nites. How can we sleep in peace at nite if she continue to be like that?

Incidence 6 - Yesterday, i told her to change and wash my sofa cover. She happily hang up the cover and only then tell me that she throw the white and red cover into washing machine and the white cover become pink!!! Wa lau.. i really can't stand it anymore. This isn't the first time that she wash the sofa cover and she anyhow throw all into washing machine to wash. I have taught her to sort out the white vs colored ones but yet she can still make this kind of mistake. There is another separate occassion where she throw a black top among the pool of white clothes in the washing machine but was caught by me! She only apologize when she see me black face n damn pissed off with her yesterday. Isn't saying sorry an automatic word when you did something wrong and not wait until the other party is pissed off then you open the 'golden mouth'?

Initially when she came, everything was still ok and bearable. Now 4+months, all the pattens come out already. Can't tolerate her anymore and time to change maid liao.... Wish me luck in finding a better one.

Our fifth year dating anniversary - 7th Aug 2009

How times flies. Hubby & I have known each other for 5 years! :)

This year I am on maternity leave and hubby happened to be able to knock off early due to H1N1 virus so we went for early evening dinner with our 3 lights bulb - Adelle, Danelle and maid!

On our dating anniversary, hubby bought me a bouquet of flower which is similar to the one i received during my birthday. Well, the only difference is the bear size has increased. Haaa... Hubby say the bigger bear will go to Adelle while Danelle will inherit the smaller bear that i received during my birthday loh.. Hmm... ;)

We went to Prive (Marina at Keppel Bay) and walked around the marina to take pictures. We wanted to go for the restaurant but was rejected becos they don't allow babies. Thus, we went for the bakery cafe instead. We ordered bolognaise spaghetti for Adelle and she managed to finished half of the plate. *Well done, darling* We also ordered cajun wedges, beef pot pie, chicken milanese for our dinner. As for Danelle dinner, i brought her to the toilet to breastfeed her cos no nursing room there. :( Generally the food is quite tasty and cosy ambience too!

My hubby birthday - 28th July

A simple celebration this year for hubby cos he gotta work on his birthday so we celebrated his birthday in advance on saturday by having a dinner @ Outback Steakhouse. It was also our first attempt to bring both Danelle and Adelle out to shopping mall.

In order to have a peaceful meal, we let Danelle had her milk and dinner for the maid b4 we left the house. We ordered Ribs and Sirloin steak for our main course and finished off the dinner with a sinful dessert - Choco Thunder *YUM YUM*. :P~~

Before dinner, we walked around Millenia walk and bought Sin chocolate for hubby as his birthday gift cos i am on maternity leave and didn't have time to buy present for him so instant present for him instead. :)

Adelle enjoyed the dinner with us cos she gets plastic spoon, fork and plate to explore self feeding. She did well by using fork to pick up the bread pieces.

When we are about to finish the dinner, Danelle started to make noise cos it's her milky time! Oh no.. so we quickly settle the bill and we head towards suntec. Adelle was very happy cos she has been "locked" at home since i gave birth and finally she get to go gai! I brought Danelle to suntec nursing room and after her milk, i went to look for hubby and Adelle at carrefour. Notti Adelle is throwing tantrums there!! So we left the place and hubby told Adelle that no more outing for her liao... :(

Hubby also celebrated his birthday with our cell group friends together with Julia cos they are the july babies.

And on hubby actual birthday, i went to United SQ and bought him a swiss bake chocolate fudge cake. Very sinful and chocolatey... :P Wishing hubby a blessed birthday and we love you deep deep from Me, Adelle and Danelle.
