T3 slide

We went to airport T3 as I need to collect my changi reward card so we dine at our usual place - Gurney Drive and went to buy rainbow looms bands from Minitoons. With all these receipts, I got quite a few big slides tickets and Adelle went twice on the big rides!

Bible Quest

The gals have been working hard since March to get badges for the Bible Quest and finally they got their first sash and badge on 12th July. They are so excited about it and they are now working on their second and third badges too. Good job babes!!! ☺️

Parents are invited to the ceremony and we went to attend and witness the happy moments!

Kallang Wave Mall

Last Saturday (12th jul) hubby went reservist so I brought the gals on a walking trip to Sport Hub (Kallang Wave Mall).

As I was told by the map that it is a 600m walk so I decided to give it a try. It was a easy straight path that leads us to the nichol highway bridge. So quite easy and fast route from my house in kallang to Sports hub. Took us abt 20mins to reach on a slow and easy walk.

We could see our house from Sport hub!

There are some activities as it is kallang wave mall opening. The gals did sand art while waiting for our friends to pick us up to church.

We wanted to see the foldable bike that was on sale by Ntuc but fully sold out. So disappointing.

Youth Day out

Another school holiday again on 7th July and we went Sentosa! Yes again cos I m utilizing my last pair of POLW tickets.. Don't waste mah.. Besides the gals really like there.

This time we reached there much earlier at 2.30pm and able to participate in the bubble pool and pots & planks activity. Of cos these need to use the curios to pay. Good thing is our last trip there still have curios left to pay for these 2 activities.

As usual, the gals can entertain themselves and made friends with other kids.

We left POLW at 5pm cos the gals say want to go to Merlion Park to walk walk. We took monorail there and took some pictures outside and we head back to Vivocity as entering the Merlion need to pay! :p

Back to School - Kinder Joy event

We all love Kinder Joy as it is a chocolate full of surprises! So when I saw there is a Back to School event organised by Kinder Joy, I registered my gals for the event.

It was held at Times Bookstore @ Centerpoint on 6th July. The event start from 4.15pm for registration and then story telling followed by the Kinder Brueno painting and lastly the quiz time!

The story telling was told by the writer Emma Nicholson and the sorry is about Princess Petunia's dragon! It was a nice story and reminded of me the similar story as the Little Princess who wanted to keep Dragon. :)

Adelle helped to read out a short letter in the book, hold the card and answering question. After which, they get to wear the princess costume and take picture!

Thereafter, they went on with the Kinder Breuno painting. We were given 20mins to paint and they have sample painted version for us to follow. The nicest win prizes! They are very kind to allow one table per winner and Adelle won the limited edition Lunch tin.

After panting was done, it was quiz time. They give chances to those children who have not yet won anything. The prize is either a notebook or a kinder joy tin consist of the kinder joy chocolates! As Danelle has not yet win anything so she entitle to once chance, Adelle & me helped her answer one tricky question... The current population in Singapore! I guess 5.3 million n we won the kinder joy tin of chocolate! Yeah we are so happy with our wins!

Primary 1 Registration for Adelle

Finally it's Adelle turn to apply Primary 1! And the race has started from 3rd July! Stressful and heart pounding everytime I click the website to see statistics. :)

Here's last year stats for Tampines schools

Anyway the whole process started in june. We waited the whole month of june for the church affliation form so that we can use it to apply in Phase 2b. Finally on 28th June, I collected the form and filled up on the spot as time is running out.

I also drop an email to our pastor to inform him of our application. Pastor was fast in responding and got our form signed by Vicar within same week. So on Saturday 5th July I collected the completed and chopped form. So when is the important date? 21st - 22nd is the day of registration/submission of Phase 2b. Hopefully there are enough vacancies as Phase 2b is shared quote between Parents Volunteer(PV) and church/clan members.

Adelle has been prayerfully prayed about getting into St Hilda since beginning of this year. I have given her 2 options - St Hilda or Poi ching and her decision is clear! She want to continue to study in a church school as she is currently studying in a church kindergarten and she has been asking me to let her get baptised. So I told her she will get to do so when she go Primary 1. She is sooo looking forward to go Primary 1. :)

Now I have done what a parent can do for their child. The rest is really pray and wait God to provide/decide. Will update again when the day has come...

End of Phase 1 Statistics (as of 4th July):

End of Phase 2a1 statistics (11th July) :

End of Phase 2a2 statistics (18th Jul) :

Today 21st July is the Day that I have been waiting for the longest time! I left house early morning at 7.30am and we drove to the temporary holding area at Bedok. We only reach the school at 8am and trying to find the registration area. After much hunting we found the place at science lab.

By the time I collected the form, I got the queue number 9! The first heart attack I got was they told me that my affliation form is incomplete as there should be more stamps instead of YES. Then they say they will let me register and see it MOE want me to bring back to stamp again... Zzz So hubby activated our church friends & pastor was activated.

Anyway we proceed to fill up the forms and the staffs were helpful in assisting us in the form. So we sit and wait for our number to be called. Very soon is our turn and the staffs were very thorough in their checking. They check pastor name to make sure is the real Vicar and our documents. Here comes the next heart attack. They told me that they cannot find my new address. So I told them cannot be... I called before to check on address.. Oh ya my new address is at Tampines Central 7. So she flipped to the page and found it. Thank God all was good and settled by 8.40am. So I told the lady to check and confirm all good before I leave. They also told us that balloting will be conducted on Friday 9am so chances of balloting based on past year is high so they get us prepared first. Finally we are done with the registration. Now we just got to pray that Adelle will be able to secure a seat in St Hilda.

End of Phase 2b statistics (22nd Jul) :

Update on 23rd Jul : There are total of 62 registered for Phase 2b and only 54 vacancy. However, we thank God that only Singapore Citizen exceed 2km need to ballot! So here I announced that Adelle has secured a seat with St Hilda!!! :)
