Primary 1 Registration for Adelle

Finally it's Adelle turn to apply Primary 1! And the race has started from 3rd July! Stressful and heart pounding everytime I click the website to see statistics. :)

Here's last year stats for Tampines schools

Anyway the whole process started in june. We waited the whole month of june for the church affliation form so that we can use it to apply in Phase 2b. Finally on 28th June, I collected the form and filled up on the spot as time is running out.

I also drop an email to our pastor to inform him of our application. Pastor was fast in responding and got our form signed by Vicar within same week. So on Saturday 5th July I collected the completed and chopped form. So when is the important date? 21st - 22nd is the day of registration/submission of Phase 2b. Hopefully there are enough vacancies as Phase 2b is shared quote between Parents Volunteer(PV) and church/clan members.

Adelle has been prayerfully prayed about getting into St Hilda since beginning of this year. I have given her 2 options - St Hilda or Poi ching and her decision is clear! She want to continue to study in a church school as she is currently studying in a church kindergarten and she has been asking me to let her get baptised. So I told her she will get to do so when she go Primary 1. She is sooo looking forward to go Primary 1. :)

Now I have done what a parent can do for their child. The rest is really pray and wait God to provide/decide. Will update again when the day has come...

End of Phase 1 Statistics (as of 4th July):

End of Phase 2a1 statistics (11th July) :

End of Phase 2a2 statistics (18th Jul) :

Today 21st July is the Day that I have been waiting for the longest time! I left house early morning at 7.30am and we drove to the temporary holding area at Bedok. We only reach the school at 8am and trying to find the registration area. After much hunting we found the place at science lab.

By the time I collected the form, I got the queue number 9! The first heart attack I got was they told me that my affliation form is incomplete as there should be more stamps instead of YES. Then they say they will let me register and see it MOE want me to bring back to stamp again... Zzz So hubby activated our church friends & pastor was activated.

Anyway we proceed to fill up the forms and the staffs were helpful in assisting us in the form. So we sit and wait for our number to be called. Very soon is our turn and the staffs were very thorough in their checking. They check pastor name to make sure is the real Vicar and our documents. Here comes the next heart attack. They told me that they cannot find my new address. So I told them cannot be... I called before to check on address.. Oh ya my new address is at Tampines Central 7. So she flipped to the page and found it. Thank God all was good and settled by 8.40am. So I told the lady to check and confirm all good before I leave. They also told us that balloting will be conducted on Friday 9am so chances of balloting based on past year is high so they get us prepared first. Finally we are done with the registration. Now we just got to pray that Adelle will be able to secure a seat in St Hilda.

End of Phase 2b statistics (22nd Jul) :

Update on 23rd Jul : There are total of 62 registered for Phase 2b and only 54 vacancy. However, we thank God that only Singapore Citizen exceed 2km need to ballot! So here I announced that Adelle has secured a seat with St Hilda!!! :)

Transformer Meet & Greet

Since we were at downtown east on 29th July, we managed to catch the last meet & greet day of Transformer. There are 3 fringe activities available - Face painting, craft work and tatoo. As school reopening next day so the gals only did hand painting and craft work.

We got chops for the activities we participate and redeem for a Transformer notebook!

At 3pm, I went to queue up for the meet & greet pass! Yes I got it and the gals are so happy seeing the giant transformer ie Optimus Prime & Bumble Bee.

We did a family shot with Transformers and get a instant print free as I have the ntuc silver card! Yes we love the picture! :)

Wild Wild Wet on 29th July

Last Sunday we went to wild wild wet as we got the tickets from ntuc family day. On our way to Downtown East, it looked cloudy but I told Adelle to pray for rain to stop. With much faith we drove and reached there. However, the minute we enter the gates of Wild Wild Wet, it started pouring :(

Well that doesn't dampered our spirit. Adelle & I continue to pray for the rain to stop. Lo & behold! Yes the rain indeed become lighter and eventually gone within minutes! Yeah thank God for answering our prayerss!

We went to the lazy river, took a tube ride, wave pool and the playground. We were there from 11am till 2.30pm with a short lunch break at 1pm as there is food court just outside the gate.

It was time well spent lazing and having fun there! The gals had lots of fun!

Day out @ POLW

A trip to POLW - 26th June 2014

I took PM leave on 26th june and brought the gals n Aunty to Sentosa! After much thoughts and research, we walked in to Sentosa via the Sentosa Broadwalk. Cos we only need to pay $1 for entrance fee as compared to monorail which cost $4 per pax!

The gals enjoyed walking on the travelator that leads us to RWS.

From USS, we took the monorail which they call the Sentosa Express that brings us to Beach Station. From beach station, we took the tram that drop us Infront of POLW.

We used the complimentary POLW voucher that I got from the kidz academy survey! We exchange the tickets and got the passport and curio coins!

When we head towards the toilet, we saw Chun (Yamika's mum). They were there since 10am! Wow!! So the gals quickly changed and joined Yamika & Tora at the pool!

They had lots of fun with their friends while I enjoy chit chatting with Chun too!

After the fun at POLW, we managed to catch the story telling at Palawan beach. I don't really fancy playmobile toys as compared to Lego! So we didn't buy anything and we took tram up and down the beach...

It was a nice outing and we took the public transport back to Harbourfront again! Yeah we did it!
