Princess is 10 months old on 16th Nov

Everyday is a learning day for Adelle cos she seemed to pick up new skills pretty fast! :)

The milestones at 10th months :

1. When i say "head", Adelle will put her hand on her head.

2. I caught her saying "pooh-pooh-bear" three times.

3. When i say "star", Adelle will open and close her hands

4. When i say "bye-bye-kiss", she will put her hand to her mouth and then take it.

5. When i say "kiss kiss", she will lean forward and kiss the person that i tell her to kiss... hehee..

6. When i say "pat pat", she will pat pat Pooh bear butt. :P

7. She likes to put the magnetic blocks together and pull them off.

Finally, Adelle has 1 small tooth showing up on the bottom of her gum.

Baby #2 - 1st Check up on 1st Nov 2008

Well after contemplating for a while, I decided to go back to the same gynae since i do like his post-natal services cos after my c-sect surgery, i had some infection and visited him a few times and wasn't charged for consultation at all. Good rite? Anyway, times are bad and my gynae package is one of the best deal in sg ie unlimited visits, free multi-vit and folic from 1st visit onwards. :)

This check up suppose to be my post-natal check up and gynae found out that i am pregnant. The clinic assistant said this to me also "Welcome back!" Haiz.... how ironic loh...

Anyway back to the daily dose of multi-vit and folic and of cos back to putting on weight again. :(

Below is my first attempt to cook ABC pasta and home-made sauce with diced tomato, carrot and minced beef. Yummy.... Adelle loves it! :)

Long Weekend 25th - 27th Oct

It was a long weekend due to Deepavali so we went for a 3D2N holiday in JB with Janice & family.

So who were there? Mummy, Daddy, Adelle, Janice, Gideon & Baby Yosher! Oh ya, forgot to mention that Karen & Edwin also joined us for 2D 1N stay the next day cos the resort was fully booked on 25th night.

25th Oct

We decided to travel via the woodland causeway though it may be jammed but we tot of eating at Taman Sentosa b4 heading to Pulai Spring resort which looks closer to 2nd link in the map. Thank God the traffic wasn't that bad afterall. Cos we left our house at 11.30pm and reached inside JB by 1pm. To us, that was fast and we ate at Taman Sentosa hawker centre cos Karen say wait for her to eat Bak-ku-teh the next day wor. The weather on that day was really hot and we ate herbal chicken, vegetable and frice rice.

After lunch, we made our way to the resort. The highway to the resort was kinda jam and we were little bit lost but managed to reach the resort at 4pm. We met up with Janice & family in the room and they haven't ate their lunch yet... Aiyo... they came via 2nd link at 12+pm and was also lost along the way though they have GPS leh. Janice was hungry so we decided to go to the nearby Jusco to see if we can find food and do some shopping. Before we left the hotel, we asked for directions but Janice suggest to use her GPS to navigate us to Jusco instead. So we followed behind Gideon's car and realised that we were heading back to the place where we came from! Oh no... wrong direction liao... the GPS must have told them the wrong Jusco - The BIG one near to Carrefour. So we quickly overtake him and signal him to stop. After discussion, we decided to hop to the nearby Giant instead and do some grocery shopping cos i need to buy pork to cook porridge for Adelle. But hor, the Giant there is muslim one cos cannot find pork wor so ended up buy chicken loh.

As we don't know the place well so we just hopped by to any "look-clean" eating place to eat our dinner. It was a cheap dinner.. cost us abt RM$20-30 for 4pax.

26th Oct

It was the first time that i cooked chicken porridge with my portable cooker and surprisingly, Adelle loves it! While waiting for Karen & Edwin to join us for lunch, we brought Adelle & Yosher to go for a dip in the pool. This time round, we didn't bring the mushroom float cos it was too bulky to bring along so we brought the nemo float. Initially Adelle was kinda scared but after a while, she was enjoying her swim. :) Oh we also managed to took picture of Adelle & Yosher together. And guess what? We were teaching Adelle to sayang Yosher so she gently use her hand to stroke on Yosher first then while we weren't paying attention, she pinched Yosher nose. Notti gal! :P

Karen & Edwin reached before noon time and we all went to nearby Jusco this time. It was pathetically small but can still find some stuff to buy for me. Wahahaa... :) We also ate at the Thai resturant in the Jusco for lunch. In the evening time, Edwin brought us to a fun-fair area nearer to the causeway. There are many kiddo rides but Adelle & Yosher are too young to try so we just see-see-look-look. After walking around, we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. We brought them to our usual dinner place.

27th Oct

As we were worried of the jam back to Singapore, we left the resort at abt 11+am. While checking out, we made complaints against the resort. What happen was Janice booked a 2 bedroom suite and we are given 2 bedroom for 3 adults ie 1 queen bed and 1 single. So Gideon ended up sleeping on the extra bed that we gotton from the resort. So we refused to pay for the charges of 2 bedroom suite but the manager smoked us off by telling us that he will compensate 1 night free stay for our next visit instead. Actually the resort was pretty nice ie facing golf course and have a mini kitchen but no pots?!?!?! ...

After we left, we went to Jusco(the BIG one) and then proceed to eat Bak-ku-teh. It was pouring when we reached and after lunch, they all head back to Singapore except us. Cos we are not in a hurry to go back and decided to go for car wash and go Giant to buy some more stuffs.. :P By the time we are done, it was about 5pm and it was very jammed. We reached Singapore at 8pm and I have decided to cook Nestle instant porridge for Adelle since I didn't cook in the morning. Well the porridge smells quite nice but i find a little salty for infant leh... However, Adelle finished up the pot of porridge which quite surprise me too! :)

Positive or Negative?

After 10 days of waiting, we decided to test it out to see if it is positive or negative. Well, the outcome is positive. The result caught us unexpected and we're at a lost for that moment.

I was telling hubby that some people tried for months and years but nothing happen. We didn't bother to try and it happened. Isn't life a joke sometimes?

Anyway, our planned holiday of a long trip to NZ this yr has to change to a short trip in view that we need to budget $ for Baby #2 and a maid as well..... 2009 is going to be another challenging year... Thinking of going thr the entire process of taking care of new born does give me cold shoulder sometimes.... :(

Office cleaner

Yesterday morning, i heard a voice going around the cubicles saying this statement : "小姐/先生, 你好. 我 是 Mdm Tay. 今天第一天上班. " I turned around and saw a new aunty. She is really polite and can you imagine she repeated this statement > 20 times?!??! Really amazing that she can go around self-introduce and take pride in her job also. :)

It's been a long time that i see a polite cleaner liao. I still recall the cleaner in my previous company very "attitude" one. If she is in a bad mood, she will come in to the office banging here and there with the cups and plates. She will expect us to keep the pantry clean, put away all the used cups for her and wash the oily stuff if we have any party. Sometimes i wonder what is her job if she expect us to do this and that??? As she knock off at 6pm, she will take away all the cup by 5.30pm. Wah so it means we cannot drink water ah? Crazy rite? Anyway she scolded my ex-boss becos the bin is under his table and she demand him to bring it out. Then my ex-boss bey song and fire her loh!!! Well, i don't pity her cos if she has been more polite, this will not happen right?

Maybe there should be a cleaner award to motivate those who really do a good job. :)

My colleague has a similar box but it's a Pooh than Piglet. So when i was @ Popular yesterday, i decided to let Adelle try it out! Look at her funny face and she is trying to escape! :)

Princess is 9 months old on 16th Oct

My baby Adelle is 9mths! So what are her achievements @ 9mths? :)

1. She can clap!

2. She can drink from straw of mag mag cup!

3. She can do leopard crawl(1 day after 9mths)

4. She can say papa, mama and mum mum.

5. She likes to make funny faces

6. When i say the word "Uncle", she will turn her head to look outside facing the gate. This is because every nite my neighbour will reached home ard 9+pm and call Adelle "baby" whenever he see us in the living room. Then i will tell baby Adelle say "Hello Uncle". And now she can associates uncle = my neighbour

7. She can identify her friends - baby pooh bear and hippo whenever i asked her where is "pooh pooh" and "hippo". She can grab the correct ones and hug it with saliva. :P However, she still can't differentiate between the froggy and giraffe.

Tumble Tots class - 12th Oct

My colleague Meggie has been asking whether i am keen to try out classes for Adelle. Since I have a $10 voucher for Tumble Tots trial class so i told her let's bring the babies there! So i booked a trial class for Adelle and Kyden on 12th Oct. However, Kyden was having fever on-and-off that week, thus couldn't go for the trial. :(

Anyway, the class was at Tampines Sports Hall. It took us quite a while to find the entrance of the Sports Hall. We reached there at 10.45am whereby the class starts 10.30am.. Haiz... So baby adelle missed out the first part which is the warm up session. The babies there all look quite big and seemed like they are at least 10mths and above cause they are crawling very well and some are attempting to walk already. Btw, the trial class that I signed up is Gymbabes and it's for babies from 6th mth to walking.

While all the babies are busy exploring around, i tried to let Baby Adelle to walk in between the pole. However, the teacher found out that baby adelle can't even crawl so they told me to teach her to crawl first then walk. She emphasize to me the importance of crawling and say it trained the coordination between the hands, legs and head also. Thus, she brought me to a mat area and put a round booster to support adelle tummy. The teacher also told me to massage Baby adelle legs and knees often so that it won't be so stiff as Baby Adelle is on walker during weekdays. Then she put a stick infront of adelle and told us to roll it to attract baby adelle to use her hand to reach for it. Well, baby adelle was quite cooperative and tried to reach for the sticks. Then the teacher rolled Adelle and put her on kneeling down position. She say this is to train baby adelle to learn to support her weight using her knees wor. Anyway i think my baby hates the class cos she was in tears becos of the "torture"... hehehee..

At around 11.30am, the teacher gathered everyone and blow bubbles. I can see all the babies are very fascinated with the bubbles. Lastly, the class ended with a bye bye song and the teacher bring out stickers and the babies crawl towards her for the stickers?!?!? Wow i didn't know babies at this age already LOVE stickers. Hmm... I wonder if it works for my baby? I don't think so cause her greatest temptation is not stickers, toys but rather FOOD! Wahahhaaa... :P
