Adelle first word - 28th Aug

This evening, I was waiting for hubby to fetch us from my parent's house. I was playing with baby adelle when hubby reached. Then he played with her for a while before walking into the kitchen for dinner.

As he walk passed us, heading towards the kitchen, i was teaching my princess english words so i say "papa" and guess what happen?!?!? Baby adelle said "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba"! Aiyoooo!!!... we all were shocked that she say "ba-ba" wor. Then i tried again but no use as she is back to her baby language. ;)

Other than papa, the next word that we have been teaching her - Banana. When my family members and myself say "Banana", she will look up to the ceiling at my parent's house where the bunch of banana was hanging. She knew that is a banana and i let her tried banana too. Well she kinda likes it! :D

Dunno when then she will say ma-ma-ma-ma-ma... :P

Princess is 7 months old on 16th Aug

"Another month older, another month wiser" - This is what my family says abt baby adelle. Some of my friends say she looked bigger too and i think she has grown taller about 68-70cm. Weight wise dunno wor cos i haven't bought the digital weighing scale so can't accurate take princess weight but i guess is 9kg?? :P

For past 1 month, princess has been eating 2 meals of solid food, ie cereal, potato and sweet potato puree. However, we still feed her milk after the cereal and puree and she can finished up the bottle of milk. Since milk powder has increased price, i have been looking out for cheap lobang. So far all the Enfapro stage 2 milk powder are bought via forum sale. Mummies are selling them at the price of $20-30. I also got a voucher from one mummy and it allow me to buy 5 get 1 free can so per can cost me $28+. The retail price @ NTUC is around $35+ so it's a great saving to me. :)
So what's happening on her 7th month? One of my gal frens getting married in Sep so i organised a Hen's party on 16th Aug and brought baby adelle there. It was baby adelle first hen's party! Wahahahaa.... All old hens but 1 young chick! :P We had fun sabo-ing the bride at Timbre Art house while baby adelle was smiling happily behind my back with a young handsome chap who was sitting few tables away from us. Hmm... my friends saw it and say she so young already know how to "beoy" & "pao" handsome guy wor... :P

Anyway, here are the milestones @ 7th month:

1. She can sit upright on her own for longer duration and very steady already.
2. Her last feed at 10pm and then off to her dreamland till 7am
3. She loves watching "Your baby can read" VCD and can quietly watching TV for 30-60mins while i do housework.
4. She will lift up her arms and touch her toes when the VCD say "Arms up" and "Toes" respectively.
5. She is getting more sticky to me these days. Wanna me to carry when i reached my parents house in the evening else she will get angry.
6. She is simply too lazy to crawl so still can't do it very well.
7. She can walk straight or sideways in her walker.
8. She loves swimming.
9. She started to stand more often and can stand pretty well with some support

Adelle first swimming experience

Finally we brought our princess for her first dip @ pool! :D

It was a rainy morning on 10th Aug. My sis messaged me to check whether i will still be going over to her condo to swim. Then i told her that we won't be going cos the rain don't seem to stop wor. But surprisingly, my sis told me that over at the west side, there was no rain. So we started to pack the swimming stuff and after feeding my darling at 2pm + preparing the sweet potato puree, we left for my sis place.

When we reached my sis house @ 3pm, it was still having very light drizzy. We played Wii for a while - FUN leh! Then i took out my princess new clothes - swim suit and her swimming robe which Aunty Karen Pan bought for her b4 she was born. Quite cute wor!! :D

After changing her, all of us left the house for the pool downstairs.

We brought a lot of gadgets down - camera and the NDP samsung hand and stick to let her play in the pool. When we were at the pool, the rain seemed to stop but the water was cold. However, my little princess seems NO scare of the cold water. First, i attempt to let her dip her leg in. Then i slowly submerge her to let her stand. Eventually she was sitting in the 0.2m pool.. hahahaa... Ya lah, it's just a 0.2m high pool so she can sit confidently in the pool.

As we do not have neck float nor any float so we have to hold her and swim around + splash water on her face!! wahaahhaa....Anyway, she was a brave girl cos she didn't cry wor and super love playing with the water. :D We spent about 30mins in the pool and finally brought her out of the pool. Then we went back to my sis house to bath her in the super big bathtub.

After shower, we feed her the sweet potato and after 5 spoonsful, she started making noise and we quickly get her a bottle of milk. Within minutes, she finished the bottle of milk and doze off in her dreamland! :P Guess she behave like adult, ie after swimming, super hungry and tired!! :)

National Day - 9th Aug

How we spent our national day? We are never a patrotic singaporean cos we never stay at home to watch NDP eversince we started dating.. Some people tot we buy flats at Kallang cos we wanna see fire works during NDP but not really wor. Anyway our living room view is being blocked so don't think can see much thing unless we go to the garden above the multi-storey carpark. ;)

Initially we intend to go to Hort park for a leisure walk with our church friends. But due to poor response, we ended up doing nothing in the morning and took pictures for our princess with her hat that my sis bought for her way b4 she is born. Does she look like a jap girl?? Hehee.... ;)

Later in afternoon, we went to church and saw Janice, Gideon and baby Yosher! He is soo cute and i love his hair!! :D Baby Adelle loves to play with kids be it older or younger than her and will attempt to touch them. :P

After church, we went to Vivocity since it is near church. We went for dinner @ Marche and if i am not wrong that is the last Marche in Singapore now. Before dinner, we met Soon Yeow, her hubby and her mum shopping @ Daiso. Only then both of us realise that today is our friend Yuan Shan birthday and we quickly send her sms. Hope Yuan Shan had a wonderful celebration with her sweetie pie baby Tessa :D

Before National Day - 8th Aug

Last friday, i took leave before national day cos my mum was not free to babysit princess. So i was at home doing housework, babysitting and looking at my laptop - clearing my office emails!
So what did i do with my princess for that day?

1. Make her crawl - Haiz.. she think-think-think then flip over and rest on the bed. Super lazy bum!

2. Shower her - She enjoy shower at home cos can see her happy fishes on the wall tiles

3. Feed her cereal - She itchy hand and want to dip into the bowl. Very messy loh...

4. Wear her new dress - The green apple dress was from Aunty Meggie - THANK U!! :D

At night, daddy came back and we went to T3. It was princess first time going to the airport and took some pics with her. :P I think we really like tourist now... go everywhere also take pictures. We had dinner at Popeye and it was long queue. One nice guy let us have the seat and princess guai guai sit in her pram watching us eating and this time... no poo poo...Hehehe.. :)

We find T3 very big and spacious. However two stupid thing that we observe was :
1. Trolley laid out in the arrival hall waiting for collection??!?!
2. The viewing gallery can't see anything at all. Full of reflection of passenger waiting to board the plane.

Anyway i can't wait to go for holiday!!! The last time and first time that we flew together was last year May to Boracay. That was before i discover i was pregnant! :P

Our fourth year dating anniversary - 7th Aug 2008

4 years ago, we had our first dinner date @ Black Angus (One Fullerton). 4 years later, we are back with baby adelle and wanted to have dinner there too. But.... Black Angus closed down already.... Haiz... Seems like we haven't been out often. :P

Anyway One Fullerton is like a ghost town now. Most of the shops are closed and the parking is $5 per entry! Since we parked there already, we decided to walk down to Boat Quay.

Along the way, we took pictures at the Merlion park since it is baby adelle first visit to merlion. We machiam like tourist and took some pictures. :D Hahahaha .... i can't remember when is the last time that i took picture with the merlion loh.... :P

After a long walk to Boat Quay, we decided to eat at Sizzling Rock since i have the 1-for-1 main course voucher from ABN AMRO.

We ordered a glass of wine (red and white), soup of the day(mushroom), seafood combi and london mix combi. The food taste ok, nothing fantastic to talk about. :) While eating our dinner, guess what is little princess doing?? Playing with the majong paper on the table and trying to tear apart!!

Then i smell something.... Yes she poo again!! Dunno why she likes to poo when we were out for dinner?!?! Anyway, we brought her to Fullerton hotel to change and the hotel baby changing table has baby changing mat wor....Indeed is a class hotel. ;P

Surrender our old flat

2 weeks after we shifted out, we went back to our old flat to see-see-look-look and saw a post-card stuck at the metal gate. The card was from HDB asking us to arrange for appt to surrender our flat. I was quite surprised that they have spy cos they knew we have moved out?!?!?! ;-)

I called up the HDB officer next day and she told me that they have forgotton our extension request so they send down someone to check out our unit. Chey.. tot really got spy. :P So I told her that we have just shifted out and can return the flat in july. She proposed to me end July and we agreed on 28th July at 4pm to meet and return the key.

Prior to return key, I was told to ensure our windows are retrofitted. Retrofit means to ensure that the windows screws are stainless stell. Siao right... old flat demolishing in few years time also must retro-fit dunno for what purpose. Anyway, bopian have to comply to this else cannot get back my $$$. Yes, HDB retain some $$ from us until we return the key successfully.

28th July
I took whole day leave cos it's hubby birthday. I went back in the early afternoon to sell off the last 2 pieces of my old furniture then head towards bugis to shop first. By the time i returned to my old flat, the HDB guy left a post card on my metal gate again!!!! He claim that he was there between 3.50-4.10pm. I was there at 4.10pm loh but didn't see anyone so i called the HDB officer to quickly recall back the guy. However, was disappointed to know that the guy has gone faraway and was told that she can only help to reschedule another round of appt - 12pm on 30th july. Sianzzzz....

30th July
I head back to my old house during lunch time and saw the HDB guy was there already with hubby. He said the windows screw are not acceptable and we have to change them. This uncle was quite nice and told hubby that actually no need to be so "honest" to show the windows screw cos hubby has only changed some of the screws. Anyway we are told to make appt again... Haiz..... and managed to secure 31st July 9.30am slot after begging them to put it earlier so that i don't need to take leave again! Poor hubby have to go back @ 10pm to change out all the screws with no lights in the house cos we have terminated the power supply since 2 wks back.

31st July
I was there at 9am and thank god the guys came early at 9.15am. I just show them one window and the uncle say OK! Then he asked me to sign some documents and pass me a cheque. :D I passed him the wooden door key and that's it. When i was leaving, they are busying locking up the windows and stuff newspaper into the window bamboo holes which they say to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. Looking back, i am very happy that i m one of the earlier people who shift out else by then the estate will be mosquito breeding ground. :P

Pics @ Church

Every sat, we will bring baby adelle to church.

The little girl next to her is Baby Rebecca. Both of them are trying very hard to crawl. :)

Baby adelle look very style-lo in that pink little jacket rite?? :p

My hubby birthday - 28th July

This year hubby had 3 birthday celebrations and ate 3 cakes! ;)

The first celebration was celebrated during cell group and the cake was shared with Julia whose birthday also falls in July.

The second celebration was a surprise for him! I invited his friends to come over for house warming and i secretly pre-ordered a birthday cake for him! Hubby celebrated his birthday together with Randy cos they both had the same birth date but 1 year apart! :P We also took a family pic with the help of Vozza who use potato chips to lure baby adelle to look at him and Esther helping to snap the pics for us. Thanks Vozza and Esther! :))

The third celebration was on his actual day! I was on leave that day and booked One Rochester for a private dinning session. Of cos we did not forget to bring our "third party" along. ;) This time round our darling was very guai cos she sitting there quietly in her pram looking at us having our candle light dinner. Unlike during my birthday where i had to carry her throughout the dinner.

Although it was a monday night, we do see people going there for dinner. We used to think that place is more for drinking than dining but it seemed to be different now. We ordered parsley soup with crab meat, lamb sausage, beef tenderloin and lamb shand. Overall, we find the ambience and food is quite nice especially the soup, sausage and beef! We also had a bottle of red wine to go with the dinner. The red wine taste chocolatey and nice too!! Not forgetting we ended the dinner with a specially prepared birthday cake (paline mousse cake) for my beloved hubby. The waiter and waitress sang birthday song for him too! :)
Lastly, guess what? My darling poo poo and the waitress was nice enough to let us change her in one of the private rooms upstair! :P So far i think they are quite family friendly cos i read review from somewhere that there are some restaurants that forbid strollers so i will give those a miss!!
Here are pics of food :
