Danelle 5th Birthday

5 years has passed and the botak gal has grown up with curly hair and cheeky! We love her loads but same time she drive us nuts! 

The celebration this year was a different one! On 14th June, we went to staycation at Fullerton and had a mini complimentary cake for Danelle! She love the chocolate cake as it's super tasty!

Next, we had a family dinner on father day (15th June) and then I bought a Disney Frozen theme cake from Bengawan Solo with chocolate sponge and crunchy for her! Yummy! 

On the actual birthday (21st June) we went legoland with our friends as part of the annual birthday trip for the june babies and birthday celebration for Danelle. I managed to get legoland Malaysia to prepare a cake, food and surprise on that day as the theme was Lego movie! It took me one month to prepare for the party. 

First was the invite card. Knowing that she loves unikitty so I did this for her. 

Next is to find goodie bags. Although Lego movie is rather new, I managed to chance upon a website that has picture that allow me to make a popcorn box! I printed the picture and paste on vanguard sheet. Easy job but takes me few night to cut and paste with help from the birthday gal! 

Then we filled it up with goodies! We bought the roller coaster rings, Oreo wafer, wiggles chocolate mashmallow, Lego movie bookmark and Lego poly bags for the boys and lego keychain for the gals. We hope they liked the goodies we got for them. 

As for cake, I been trying to find a baker in Malaysia that can do lego fondant cake but no luck. So I got no choice but to order a cake from legoland Malaysia and they only can provide a basic chocolate cake. I bought a Lego movie cloud cuckoo set that come with Unikitty, Emmet and Wldstyle so that I can use it to decorate the cake. We spent 1 hr to fix it up! 

On last Saturday, we happily lugged a big bag to Legoland. I have booked the Market restaurant for 22pax and got the menu for kitchen to prepare. I am suppose to reach there at 10am but end up at 11am due to traffic jam at Tuas. The staff who been liased with me brought me to the cafe staff where I show them the cloud cuckoo set. The lady reject the set as she say too heavy for the cake to support. :( So she took the mini figures to decorate the cake. I went to the Market restaurant and was surprised to see the gals and hubby were happy with the deco. The staff told me that they did the deco complimentary for me. It was beautiful and we can't resist taking picture. Although I did prepare a simple banner, I found good use of my banner too! Added Danelle name on their banner.Hahha 

Our guests came to the Market restaurant at 12pm. And I get them serve the food as we are hungry too! 

After lunch is done, I gave each kid some activity sheet to do. The top 3 kid will get a small gift from me! ;)

At about 1pm, the special mascot appearance is ready to show up with the cake! Guess who? It's Wldstyle! Emmet not free so I m a bit disappointed.. Nevertheless, the kids and adults were excited and we took lots of pictures.. Group, family and kid! So busy but I know the kids are happy! 

I can see that the kids had fun! They get goodie bags, up close with Wldstyle & sculpture balloons too! 

After the party, we proceed to waterpark! 

The birthday gal got a Lego movie poly bag and a badge from the park! Happy 5th Birthday to my dearest baby Danelle! May you continue to be healthy, happy and be good ya! No notti tricks!

DC Superhero @ Singapore Philatelic Museum

This is our first time visiting the singapore philatelic museum on 22nd June(open house day). We are glad that we came for the superhero event as we also get to see the olden days of Singapore! So nostalgic of the things found there! Indeed memorable & reminded me of our childhood days.

The gals had fun taking pictures, coloring and making the superhero badges and stamp! 

They are full of energy and had fun seeing the "old Singapore"! 

We do appreciate the museum more with the kids now! I think I haven't stepped into museum for the longest time as I always find it a boring place.. But now I have different views of museum. It was so enriching and interactive as they have incorporate technology into the museum. 

Father Day - 15th June 2014

This year Father day (15th June 2014) was a busy day. We rush back from our staycation, sent the gals for swimming class then a quick nap before we head to the Family monopoly challenge and then rush to collect Danelle birthday cake before going for the dinner at Thai restaurant call Thai Gold Food at Sunshine Plaza. My sis ordered the food while we busy eating only! We all likes the Thai food as it is quite authentic and not pricey. :) 

Happy Father Day to my dad and my babies dad! 

Timbre @ Gillman

It's been a long time that we went to Timbre for dinner. The last time we had is at the MT Emily branch... Think no more?!?!

So this time, we saw from Internet that there is a outlet at Gillman Barracks so we decided to check it out on 14th june 2014.

After church, we drove there since it's nearby and discovered new eating places in Gillman Barracks. 

We kind of like the environment in Gillman Barracks as there are lots of green to run around and there is live music at night too! There are 2 more restaurants there - Masons & The Naked Finn but looks atas! :p

The gals ran wild in the green and can't sit still to finish up their food. We ordered 2 pizza and some finger food but can't finished!! Argh... Felt so junky stuffing up all the pizzas that night... :( 

We stayed till the live band starts and there is song dedication! So I tried it out and dedicate Happy Birthday to Danelle! 

My baby was so happy that someone sang for her... So Adelle eyes were full of envy and said how she wished she can celebrate her birthday there. She love the live music and was singing to the songs...  

Oh ya.. I remember they had Saturday social BBQ happen every first and third Saturday of month. There are fringe activities for kids and it's free! Overall I think it's a nice place for family with kids to dine out with live music at night plus a glass of beer/wine! Cheers! 

Staycation @ Fullerton Hotel

We are back at Fullerton Hotel! 

Our first staycation @ Fullerton Hotel on 15th Dec 2013 for our 7th wedding anniversary! It was a wonderful stay as we received lots of surprises! First surprises was the kids receive coloring book and pencils. 

Thereafter we checked in, we received gingerbread man cookie & sweet treats! Yummy & the gals are thrilled! 

As for us, we received complimentary bottle of wine and strawberries to toast to our wedding anniversary! 

The next morning we had breakfast by the river.. 

Then we proceed to walk around the Merlin park where the gals especially Danelle never been there before. 

Wow we are sooo happy with the surprise and had a wonderful staycation last year. The best part was we get a complimentary extra bed hence we sleep in comfort and space! 

Our second staycation at Fullerton was on 14th June 2014. This time we are back to celebrate Danelle birthday! So the surprise we got this time was a chocolatey cake which tasted really good! Danelle also received a birthday card! Thumbs up! 

The gals loved and enjoyed the staycaton a lot as they get a spacious room to run around and swim too!

Oh we received this complimentary from Fullerton upon checking in.. Wonderful experience! Never fail to surprise us and they clean up our mess up room too when we went out for dinner... 

Our fav time there is to soak in the pool and photo time! 

Family Monopoly Challenge

Last Sunday (15/06/2014) was Father day and we managed to register the family monopoly challenge at Bedok Point. We are so excited and our team name is Flying Pigs as we are wearing our family tees of flying pigs! Haha

We reached there early at 5pm and went to take late tea break for the gals at pasta mania as we got the free kids meal from The Kidz Academy goodie bag! 

At 5.30pm, we went back to game area and they started the game briefing. We have assigned Danelle to be the dice thrower, Adelle the token mover, hubby the strategist and Me the finance officer. 

It was an easy simplify game but we didn't win as hubby lost track of the property we bought and we went bankrupt. So need to sell away one property to pay rental.. Sobs sobs.. 

Anyway just a game and we did get $60 Frasers Centerpoint Mall vouchers! So we are told that they will inform us if we did get into semi finals and the best dressed team.... Finger crossed! :)

MIA... Hiatus

Yes I have not been updating my blog for nearly 3 years! 😱 Been busy with work and growing up preschoolers do make me super busy! 

Now there is mobile app & I shall try to keep up to speed! 😆 

Danelle say bye to Pacifier

My mum always say it will be challenging to stop Danelle from taking pacifier but .... Nothing is impossible if you are determined enough! :)

In early Oct, i decided to start the "Stop Pacifier" project for Danelle since she is already 2years old (abt same time as Adelle). The first day was really challenging and Danelle cried like tearing down the house. But i managed to calm her down by getting her to drink lots of water(like getting her "drunk") and then she slept. The second night she cried again and i told her no more "tutu". Nevertheless, i managed to calm her down by bringing her to my room and then she slept. The third day, she didn't cry but she want to go to my room to sleep before i put her back to her room. This goes on for a few days and after 1 week, she gotton used to sleep without pacifier. BINGO! It was really easy as compared to Adelle. :)

Now you offer her pacifier, she will reject the offer! Misson complete!
