Baby #2 - 4th Check up on 20th Dec 2008

Everytime at the clinic while waiting for our turn, all the mummies-to-be and daddys-to-be are always entertained by Adelle funny actions. Cos in order to make Adelle cooperate to sit in her stroller in the small little clinic, we have to get her "busy" ie ask her to do this action and do that action. So at the same time entertain other patients loh... :P

Anyway my check up is very fast these days cos Dr Adrian will ask me "how are u?" and my standard answer is "So far ok". Then i proceed to the ultrascan machine to check bb progress. Since this is the 2nd time pregnancy so no more FAQ that i want to ask him and thank god so far it has been a smooth pregnancy. :)


BB#2 is now 7.43cm at wk 14 and has grown double since the last checkup. This time round, the measurement seemed to be longer than Adelle jie jie (Adelle is 14 wk old measuring 7.3cm ). As bb#2 is still relatively small so gynae say can't see the gender yet and asked us to come back in a month's time to check again....

2nd Wedding Anniversary - 16th Dec 2008

It was our 2nd yr wedding anniversary and i took leave that day cos need to clear annual leave also. In the afternoon, I went down to Bugis to collect the anniversary present for hubby and myself which is a customised photo keychain. As i can't made up my mind to go for the square or heart shape keychain so decided to buy 1 of each type and let hubby choose.

On the same day, Adelle turned 11mths too cos she was borned on the 16th too... ;) We went for dinner at Astons Prime as hubby came back around 8pm and he didn't make any reservation. :( Since my colleague was telling me that Aston Prime steak very nice so i told hubby let's go and try bah.

Well, Astons Prime is a fine dinning restaurant as compared to it's subsidaries Astons Express and Aston Specialities. No queue at all and the price is double or triple but the service is quite good! They even gave Adelle bread in plastic container with plastic fork and spoon. So that was Adelle dinner for that nite while we ordered steak and pasta cos we are really hungry. I love the meatball pasta and mushroom soup. As for the steak, i requested for medium well but i still see blood wor.. So requested the staff to bring in twice to make it well cooked. Overall, we find the steak so-so only leh cos hubby find it tough for his Ribeye while i find it too bloody for mine though both of us ordered medium well. Anyway i don't think i will go back for the steak again.

After dinner, we went to Bugis cos hubby didn't managed to buy flowers before coming over to fetch us. :( As it was already 10pm, all the florist shop were closed so no flower that nite. So sad... But the next day when we reached home, i saw a bouquet of red roses on the bed. :)

Princess is 11 months old on 16th Dec

Another 1 month to go and Adelle will be officially 1 year old! We have decided to hold the birthday party on 4th Jan 09 ie her 1st lunar birthday cos 16th Jan is a friday and we think quite a lot of friends and family cannot turn up.... so it's better to do it early... :)

Looking back the same time last year, we are still celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and awaiting for this little baby to join us. This year is our 2nd wedding anniversary and here we are busy with this little "monster".... Yes, she is a "monster" disguise as angel infront of strangers... hehehee.... Sometimes really angry with her for wasting $ and not drinking her milk, throw her tantrums n doing somersauts to irritate me when i was busy working on laptop... But sometime find her really cute with her funny actions and fake smile... yes, she know how to do fake smile.... ;)

The milestones @ 11mths are :

1. When i say "hair", Adelle will use her hand to touch her hair

2. As Adelle birthday is getting near, i always rehearsal the happy birthday song with her and she will end it off with clapping hands! :)

3. When i say "hello hello", Adelle will put her hand on her ear to show that she is listening.

4. She know how to use the toy handphone and put close to her ear pretending she is listening

5. She likes the song incy wincy spider and will do the "washing" action that she learnt from the Baby can read VCD.

6. When i say "梳美美", she will take her comb and trying to comb her hair.

7. We discover Adelle has 2 big teeth and 2 growing teeth on the top gum and that makes it total of 5 teeth now.

8. Adelle know how to pick up her mag mag cup and drink from the straw after she had her porridge.

9. When the pacifier drop on the floor, Adelle will pick it up and put it back into her mouth but upside down.

Chee Wee & Julia Wedding - 6th Dec 2008

Chee Wee & Julia are our cell group friends and their wedding was held at Hotel InterContinental. Big and beautiful ballroom and of cos not forgetting the beautiful bride and handsome groom! :)

That day, I attempted to let Adelle wear a white hairband but she simply dislikes it and kept pulling it off. Haiz... but those who saw her with the hairband say she looked nice wor.. hehehe... :P


We were glad that Jonathan, Cher Ling and Caleb sat in the same table as us. Cos Adelle likes to play with her friend Caleb and also Jonathan helped us to entertain Adelle while we grab some food to eat. :)

Hereby wishing Chee Wee and Julia a very blessed marriage and be fruitful and multiply many small ones to join Caleb and Adelle soon! :P

Adelle first flight out of Singapore 20th Nov - 25th Nov

Yeah! Finally we going for holiday!! Initially we planned to go to NZ for 2 wks trip but the airtix alone cost us abt $4-5k already so we decided to go for a cheaper holiday in Sabah and visit my friend Veve at the same time! hehehee.... :P


20th Nov


We took Airasia which cost abt $500(inclusive tax) for 3 of us. It is a direct flight to KK and only 2+ hr to reach Sabah KK Airport. I took leave that day so that i can finish up packing the luggage while hubby sent the car for repair in the late afternoon. Since the flight is 2135, i went over to pick up Adelle at my parents' house at 6pm. My dad drove us back home and he was caught by traffic police using the bus lane during the peak hour. Suay rite... Haiz.... We tot sure kena fine and demerit points but thank god, found out that only kena fine this time.


Before we left for the airport, we checked our luggage weight cos this is a budget airline and the max weight limit is 15kg and any excess need to pay. To our horror, the luggage is 25++ kg. Oh no... we quickly changed another smaller luggage and carried 2 hand luggage instead cos i only paid for 1 checked-in luggage. We overlooked that my darling diapers + all her stuff already 1 luggage weight loh....



Anyway we managed to reach the airport around 8pm and quickly checked in the 13+kg luggage. Then we went for our quick dinner at Burger King @ T1 basement and hurried off to the departure gate. When the flight door closed, i popped a bottle of milk into my darling mouth and very soon she landed in her la-la-land. So throughout the journey, i carried her on my arms as she was deep asleep. Thank God that she was cooperative that day.




At 2350hr, we reached Sabah KK airport and my darling woke up at the same time. We booked the airport taxi as adviced by Veve and we reached Sutera Harbour Resort that Veve's sister had booked for us. It was a 5 star resort and we got a very good price cos Veve's sister was working there so have special price. The resort overlooked the sea and next to a yatch club and golf course. Nice!! Soon we off to Zzzz cos it was already 1+am by the time we checked in.


21st Nov


We woke up late and had a sumptuous buffet breakfast. It was the first time that i feed Adelle bread. Well, she do eat it but she's definitely not a bread fan. We also took some plain porridge to feed her as the buffet spread is asian style ie porridge, bacon, bread, nasi lemak and roti prata as well. Yummy! :P~













After breakfast, we head back into our room and i cooked porridge with shredded chicken that i took from breakfast for adelle. Then i realised that why am i wasting time cooking while there is porridge that i can da-bao leh? :) So the next day plan was to bring my food jar to contain some food for Adelle. Hehee...


Veve called us and told us that she was meeting us tonight for dinner. So we decided to go to the city centre to do some shopping. Well, we didn't buy much stuff that day cos while we are heading towards the souvenir market, it rained heavily thus we walked back to the shopping mall and had a sinful late afternoon tea break. It was a cheesy friend chicken. Really chessy stuff.



In the evening, Veve appeared at our hotel room and she drove us to a cosy japanese restuarant. The food was ok and we enjoyed the catch up session with her. After dinner, she also drove us around to see the scenery of Sabah and also to see a seafood resturant. The seafood there was really fresh and HUGE! By the time we reached our resort, it was 11+pm and it was still raining....

22nd Nov



We woke up very early ie 5+am reason being we need to catch the shuttle bus to the KK park at 7am. Since we are rushing off to check out so we only ate a bit of breakfast and packed some porridge for Adelle lunch. To our surprise, it was a mini-van and only 3 of us in the van. The trip up and down cost us RM$100 per pax. We have booked a resort call Liwagu Suite recommended by Veve's sister to stay at the KK park for 1 night. The resort is one of the most expensive one in KK park as mentioned by the bus driver. Adelle slept throughout the journey up the park and we also managed to catch some sleep as well. :)


The journey to the park was abt 2 hrs and we reached at 9+am. However, we need to wait for abt 1 hr for the room to be ready then we can checked-in. The resort reception counter was at the park HQ and our resort is way inside the park thus we need to take a taxi to drive us to the resort. It was misty and cold inside the park and most interesting thing was the hot water can only last u 15mins and then it will be reboil before it is hot again. Worst was there is no bathtub so it was rather challenging to bath Adelle. Have to be real quick else the water become too cold for her.

Since we were at MT KK, what are the activities that we can do there? Mount climbing? No lah.. how to do it with a preggy and a baby?? So we decided to go to Poring Hot Spring and do the canopy walk. Well, this was the most challenging part of our trip. Cos daddy have to carry Adelle and carry the bagpack as the canopy walk was very steep and muddy. So it's very siong and many times more tougher than the tree top walk of SG. I nearly give up half way cos a bit siong for me... :P Well, thank god that Adelle was quite cooperative throughout the walk. :) We survived and tooked some pics back!




During our stay at the Liwagu Suite, one of the staff there loves Adelle and keep carrying Adelle around to show her colleagues. Well, Adelle seemed to like her too cos she let the jie jie carry her for a super long duration leh!









23rd Nov




We requested for the internal taxi to bring us to the hotel cafe for breakfast. It was very cold in the morning and Adelle was wrapped like a bak-zhang. :P After breakfast, we decided to walk back to our room and at the same time, walk around the park. We managed to get a passer-by to help us to take the Mt KK pictures.




I always hear abt Marathon but never knew there is Climbathon. Here's the winner for 2008.


As we are told to check out b4 11am, we quickly packed our stuff and returned to the reception area @ park HQ. The usual shuttle hour for the return trip is 3pm but we got nothing else to do in the park thus, i requested for an early transfer back to our hotel. After pestering the staff for a few times, we saw a mini van came to pick us up at 12+pm. Yeah, we got on to the van and slept our journey back.


We reached the same resort hotel but this time, different room and was given a play pen instead of baby cot for Adelle. The play pen is better cos the mattress as compared to the cot mattress was so much better quality. As we are back at the resort early, we decided to lunch in the hotel cafe and walked around the resort. Along the coastal area, we saw a lot of fishes and mini crabs too. The water was so clear that you can see the fishes of different color and types. We taught Adelle to throw bread to feed fish. Well, she enjoyed throwing the bread until she gets hungry and she started to put into her mouth instead of feeding the fish. It was a rest and relax day for us since we had a "siong" day @ the hotspring.



In the evening, Veve waited for us at the lobby and bring us to a local seafood resturant to eat seafood. YumYum.. cheap and good!







24th Nov

Initially we planned to go for island hopping trip but worried that adelle might get heat stroke thus we changed plan and went for a dip at the swimming pool.


After that, we went to the city centre and do some shopping. This time, we managed to go to the Philippino market aka souvenir market. Along the way, there is a night food market where they sell fried noodle, chicken wings, bbq seafood, etc. We can't resist the temption and tried the BBQ chicken wings, satay and mee goreng. The chicken wing is same price as SG except in different currency and the prawn was really HUGE!












25th Nov



It's time to pack our stuff for the evening flight at 6pm. We brought 1 big pack of diaper and only used half cos Adelle had constipation and didn't poo for 3-4 days and also refused to take her milk. So she had lost some weight during the trip. :P Since it was a late evening flight, we decided to go to the biggest shopping mall in Sabah call 1 Borneo. Well, it was really big like our suntec city with lotsa branded shops but price abt same as singapore so didn't buy anything back and we left the place.



On our flight back, we get our dinner on board. Yes i ordered the nasi brani and nasi lemak for only abt RM5-6. We felt the brani is so much nicer than nasi lemak. And well, my darling was in her la-la-land the minute the flight departed. All thanks to the milk. :)












Though it was a short trip but we had a unforgettable trip especially the canopy walk which is challenging but we made IT! :) Also for Adelle will be her guitar cos this is her first musical instrument that she play with.

Baby #2 - 3rd Check up on 29th Nov 2008

Was told by gynae to go back for checkup and can see BB#2 has grown to 3.5cm at week 10. The EDD indicated was 22nd Jun 09. Surprisingly for the 1st trimester, mummy doesn't have any morning sickness at all leh. Am i normal or weird?? Sometimes i wished to be those mummies who have bad morning sickness cos that is the only time that u can loose weight.... :P

Mummy compared BB#2 size again with Adelle Jie Jie.. Jie Jie was 4.29cm at 11wks old. :)

Baby #2 - 2nd Check up on 18th Nov 2008

Had some spotting so decided to see gynae and at the same time asked if i can still proceed for my trip to Sabah... Hehehe.... :P

Well, gynae say baby is growing well at 8th weeks but i still paid $50 for the hormones pill. Gynae also say no coffee, tea, pineapple juice, no bungee jumping, cannot go for extreme sports and best is DO NOTHING. Sianz rite... go holiday to do nothing ah??

BB#2 has grown to 1.88cm while Adelle Jie Jie was 2.59cm at 9th wk. Seemed like BB#2 is smaller size than Jie Jie. Probably due to mummy has been watching diet closely loh... learnt from previous lesson is don't eat excessive and giving self excuse to eat and eat then become FAT. :P

Princess is 10 months old on 16th Nov

Everyday is a learning day for Adelle cos she seemed to pick up new skills pretty fast! :)

The milestones at 10th months :

1. When i say "head", Adelle will put her hand on her head.

2. I caught her saying "pooh-pooh-bear" three times.

3. When i say "star", Adelle will open and close her hands

4. When i say "bye-bye-kiss", she will put her hand to her mouth and then take it.

5. When i say "kiss kiss", she will lean forward and kiss the person that i tell her to kiss... hehee..

6. When i say "pat pat", she will pat pat Pooh bear butt. :P

7. She likes to put the magnetic blocks together and pull them off.

Finally, Adelle has 1 small tooth showing up on the bottom of her gum.

Baby #2 - 1st Check up on 1st Nov 2008

Well after contemplating for a while, I decided to go back to the same gynae since i do like his post-natal services cos after my c-sect surgery, i had some infection and visited him a few times and wasn't charged for consultation at all. Good rite? Anyway, times are bad and my gynae package is one of the best deal in sg ie unlimited visits, free multi-vit and folic from 1st visit onwards. :)

This check up suppose to be my post-natal check up and gynae found out that i am pregnant. The clinic assistant said this to me also "Welcome back!" Haiz.... how ironic loh...

Anyway back to the daily dose of multi-vit and folic and of cos back to putting on weight again. :(

Below is my first attempt to cook ABC pasta and home-made sauce with diced tomato, carrot and minced beef. Yummy.... Adelle loves it! :)
