Christmas 2006

This year christmas celebration started early as our cell group party is on 22nd Dec! It was held at Jonathan place which is quite near our house and we catered xmas food like log cake, ham, turkey, etc.... We also have games, gift exchange & sing christmas carols. We had fun with a turnout of 17 pax & 5 are invited friends! :-)

On 23rd Dec, we went for our church christmas musical & our church catered bento set dinner for everyone after the musical. The food was yummy! After dinner, we went to Meiying house to learn from her sis some tips on using the gym ball to manage contractions & most interesting thing is there is a rice sock that her sis told us that it helps to relieve pain & sore. :-)

So what did we do on christmas eve? Besides working half day, we went for the christmas gathering with Airrence's friends @ Caribbean in the evening time. We had bbq this year (last yr we went to Night safari) & the guys do the cooking while the ladies chit chat & eat loh!! hehehee... :-p We also have gift exchange!

Oh ya, forgotton to mention that in my office, i receive a box of foodies & my colleagues say it's a lucky draw. The draw prizes are actually biscuits, chocolate, wine, etc from the hampers given by vendors for xmas.

On christmas day, we went for a nice lunch @ a Austrian restuarant along bukit timah road. After lunch, we went to buy log cake for both of our family - chocolate for mine & vanilla for airrence's side. At night, i cooked mushroom soup, pasta with sausage & baked marinated chicken (but not captured in the picture).

1st Wedding Anniversary - 16th Dec 2007

How fast time has passed!! 1 year since our wedding on 16th Dec 2006... make a guess how we celebrate our 1st anniversary?? hehehe... :p

We went for our wedding anniversary photo shoot(yearly complimentary shot from sophia bridal)! The photographer took abt 20+ picture & we can choose 1 that we like & they will print for us. Since mummy is now pregnant, so we took a picture that can see mummy, tummy(adelle) together with daddy... Waiting for the collection of pic then i can put up in this blog.

We had complimentary voucher for 2D1N stay @ Rasa & $100 dinner voucher from our wedding package last year. So i tried to book since Nov but was told that hotel is fully booked & i request for waitlist. To my horror, i am the #12 on the wait list!! Anyway, nothing can stop mummy from staying @ Rasa since the voucher only valid in the mth of Dec thus mummy approach Perry(our hotel coordinator) & he managed to get us a room wor! Thus, we spent 2D1N to stay @ Rasa Sentosa Resort eating @ Silver Shell Cafe(in Rasa Sentosa hotel) & relaxing away @ Cafe De Mar. During check-in, we are also given a choice to top up to paranomic room by paying $20+(original room entitlement is Deluxe Seaview) and we are given complimentary breakfast too!! hehee... So we took the upgrade option & feast away @ the Silver Shell cafe for a buffet dinner & buffet breakfast!! How sinful right!?!??! :p Well daddy ate abt 18 oysters but mummy can only see & no eating cos it's raw mah... but the cooked food esp salmon are just as nice!! :)

For our anniversay present, Daddy bought mummy a bouquet of sunflower & LV bag cos mummy keep joking abt buying LV bag to put diaper... a bit waste hor?? :p Anyway, it is the classic speedy 30 bag & not diaper bag lah.... As for daddy, mummy bought him a nice Sony Ericsson W960i phone(latest phone)! Well, these presents are for our anniversary cum christmas present since our wedding is so near christmas mah!! hehehee... :p

Overall, it was a nice way to celebrate our anniversary by going back to the place where we made our vows and slowly enjoy the day! Still remember during wedding day, we are so busy & really got no time to enjoy and relax wor.... now going back to Rasa & brought back many memories!! :D Also we saw 2 couples that hold their wedding @ the lawn area!

10th Checkup - 15th Dec 2007

We went for the regular checkup & wondering if Adelle has head down & "stuck" already at week 35? Well the answer is Adelle head already down since 7+ mths & now my tummy got no space for her to swim around but head not engaged yet so meaning not so soon for birth yet..

Anyway, adelle is very chubby loh... estimated weight is now 2.89kg. Dr Adrian asked me if i got eat durian & milk but i didn't wor... dunno why adelle put on 700gram over 3 weeks wor... whereby my weight gain this time is 1.5kg which is share half by her.... hehehee... :-p So Dr Adrian commented that most likely Adelle inherit daddy genes to be big size leh!! hahaaa...... ops! Here are the scan pic but dunno head or body loh...

Wild rockets @ Mt Emily

Christmas is coming so my vendor invited my marketing colleagues & i for an early xmas dinner @ Wild Rocket(http://www.wildrocket.com.sg/wildrocket.htm) cos she is now skiing in Canada.... shiok hor!!


It was a thursday night & you wont believe that such a ulu place all the way up in the hill yet the seats are fully occupied! The dinner was great but i can't take the starters cos mostly are raw salmon & raw beef which is not suitable for preggy. But i had the steak for main course(portion quite small) & the desserts were superb! We order oreo cheese, strawberry cheese & the chocolate cake where u can see the chocolate flowing out when u poke it with your fork! Yummy. Took some pic of the dessert to share. Oh ya forget to mentioned that the baked/fried sweet potato was very nice too & that filled up my stomach!! :-p~~~

Jan 08 MTB Forum gathering on 12-12-07

This was the second gathering that was organised by Mei (one of the Jan 08 MTB aka Mother-To-Be) but i didn't attend the first gathering because of my project launch. Did i mentioned in my earlier posting that i have join http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/ since i was pregnant? :-p Well, i was reading the Jan 08 MTB thread since then to learn from the new & experience MTB. I enjoyed reading it & tried to recommend preggy friends to join forum too but guess some of them don't like to participate in forum bah...

Anyway, i went for the gathering @ Pearl River Palace (Suntec Convention Centre level 3) for dinner at 7pm. Prior to the start of dinner, Mei(organiser) prepared door gifts for us! So nice of her.... she also got some sample cakes from Sweetest Moment for us to try! :-) Oh ya, we also had a xmas gift exchange for our little one. I received a book from Kitsune but hor guess Adelle wont be reading it till she is 3 years or older.

Okie back to the food, it was ala carte chinese dinner so each of us get a mini buddha jump over wall soup & Peking roast duck for 1 serving. Well, the remainding of the dishes is up to us to decide how many times we want to eat. Total headcount for this gathering was 15 pax(including 5 hubbies) & 1 table cannot fit us so we have 2 circle table join together but we didn't get to talk much to the next table as it is not nice to shout across the table ya. My table has more preggy MTBs so we ordered several servings of fried beancurd, wasabi prawn, oat prawns & prawn paste chicken wings! There are also other nice dishes which i have forgotton what else i eat that day.... :p Overall i find the food not bad leh & can go back to eat again. It cost us each $38.70. Our dinner ended at around 9.45pm and i enjoyed the dinner session to meet the MTB in real person & talking about our experiences with gynae, child birth, milk powder, etc etc....

Nice place - Villa RainTree Glass House

Last sunday(2nd Dec), we went to Villa RainTree Glass House @ labrador Nature Reserve for my friend(Soon Yeow) ROM ceremony. It was a lovely evening with nice weather, ambience, decoration & yummy food too! Of cos not forgetting the bride & groom to complete the whole picture in the glass house! :) Soon Yeow put a lot of efforts to do up the garden theme ceremony which we took some pics to share here. The trishaw pics are not part of the garden theme. We went to the chinese restaurant above the glass house to take pics. 9th checkup - 24th Nov 2007

Make a guess how heavy is baby adelle now?? :)

The answer is .........she is 2.193kg at 32weeks! Dr Adrian say she is a bit over-weight liao so told mummy no need to drink milk else bb will grow very big & may be difficult for natural birth wor. Anyway, mummy put on 3kg this month so gotta control diet again cos mummy on course last week & everyday eat 8 course buffet lunch until fat fat liao... hehehee.... :p

Over the weekend, mummy & daddy collected the baby cot from someone.... condition is still quite good but need to buy mattress & 1 more set of beddings set cos mummy only bought 1 set during Taka sale so dunno enough or not.... It's already dismantle so no pic to share here.

Karate Kid or Kungfu Junior?

Sigh..... dunno where did Adelle learn her karate or kungfu from?!?!.... I didn't watch Karate or kungfu show leh but I have been kicked by karate kid for the past few days...... Real tough & powerful punches!!!

It's either she is angry that she got no space to move already or she is not happy or whatever the reason it could be..... Just feel so pain & ouch it hurts when i got punched.... *sob sob*..... :-(

Different Stages of Pregnancy - Pics

Recently was told by someone that it's good to take pictures of mummy "growth" so that can see the extension of weight/size during pregnancy & show bb nxt time how much weight that mummy has put on becos of her... hehehe...

Well, i'm kinda a bit late but not too late too... cos i did take some pics here & there but not monthly....

Don't worry... nothing obscene in my blog.... so no NC16 required. :-p

Adelle first christmas present

Yeah.... Christmas is coming!! Another 40+ days will be christmas day!

Before the crazy christmas shopping starts, mummy bought a cute baby pooh for Adelle & that will be her first present! Seeeeeee nice??? It's pink color & wearing a bib like a baby loh! hahahaa.... :-p Lately mummy is getting heavier so walk also slower & cannot go shopping as often now.... :-(
