Eighth checkup - 30th Oct 2007

Today b4 going for the checkup, we went to see Aunty florann's new born baby boy call Eden @ KK hospital. :-) Then we rush for our checkup and reach Sengkang at 8.30pm & thank god, Dr Adrian still around.. hehehe.. and we get to go in to see Dr Adrian b4 9pm. Today visit was rather fast cos mummy & baby are healthy and got a nice photo of baby Adelle too! :-p See the head is on the left and eyes too!

Our princess is now 29 weeks old & her weight is 1.498kg and seems like the estimated due date based on the size of bb is now back to original due date which is 14th Jan... So mummy dieting plan do works & control adelle weight well although mummy put on 2 kg within a mth..... Also very happy that the blood pressure & urine test are all normal... Thank GOD!

Seventh checkup - 6th Oct 2007

Mummy has been sick(with bad flu) for the past 1 week but thank god, our princess is healthy inside the womb as she is still busy moving inside mummy daily. At 25+ weeks, she is already 1.1kg leh!! Oh mine... is she big?? We think so.... See the average weight at 25-26 wks should be 660 to 780 grams. Also because of the weight, the estimated due date is between 30th Dec & 10th Jan so the system average out to be 4th Jan 08?!?! Hmm..... seems like there is a possibility that adelle may be born earlier? Better put her on "diet" before she become overweight ah... :-p

Other interesting observation that we have is mummy tummy is smaller in the morning & it grows double at nite. We wonder why it is so but guess after dinner, adelle is stretching inside so need more space? Anyway daddy say it's better that bb adelle is born in the morning so that she is smaller & easier to deliver via natural birth ya?

1st Oct - First children day present & most expensive one for baby Adelle

Over the last weekend, we went shopping at OG & Seiyu Bugis to see if we can buy anything for princess Adelle. Daddy was reminding mummy to see if there is any good buy for stroller cause that is Daddy favourite item to see whenever we are the children dept. While mummy loves to see the cute clothes that she can buy for our princess! ;-)

Daddy was very excited when he saw one stroller + baby car seat from Capella! The price was quite attractive - $239 for both items & entitled to 15% discount too! We are very tempted but was hesisting whether it is really good buy or not. But we didn't buy on the spot & went back home to do some research. However, we did not left empty handed. Mummy bought 2 pooh bear clothes, 1 mini mouse top with a skirt cum panty & an air filled cot bubble sheet that can be used as a changing cover or place under the bedsheet to give extra cushion to bb.

The next day sunday, mummy surf the net(http://www.babystudio.com.sg/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=57) & found the model selling at Bugis - Capella Stroller S217(http://www.babystudio.com.sg/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=264) cost $183 & baby car seat S1100 (http://www.babystudio.com.sg/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=267) cost $132. Total will be $315 leh!!!

Wow, imagine Seiyu is selling that for $239 & with discount some more but the trade-off is only 1 color available - RED. Well, guess don't have much choices if we want to save $100+ loh..... :p We also did considered other brands like Peg perego & combi. However, we conclude that Peg perego is good but expensive & heavy leh... As for combi, it is cheaper than Peg preggo but the design & structure aint fits our requirements as it's look kind of flimsy.

Anyway today(1st Oct), after much consideration & price comparision, we decided to proceed to buy it! Hehehee... It cost us $203.15 after discount & we bought a yellow-blue clip fan for our princess too!! Baby Adelle is very happy the whole night as she was busying bouncing inside!! :)

Our New Flat @ Kallang - Selection of Unit

20th Sep 2007 - The long awaited day

Yesh! We went to HDB that day & managed to secure a unit @ our desire flat location, ie Upper Boon Keng Road, next to Kallang MRT station! So happy!! :-)

It's been our prayers since the day(May 2006) when we saw the new flats there. Looking back at the amount of hard work & time that we spent to buy the enbloc flat @ Sims Drive, we thank God for his provision & making our desire possible!

Just to share a little bit more about the flat selection process. On 1st Sep, we received the invitation letter from HBD & our queue is 738 on the 15th day of the entire exercise. Well, we are little skeptical about whether we still stand a chance to get a flat so we did some projection & monitor closely via the internet daily. After a week of study, we think there is a chance to get the flats there but maybe we will not get a good view & low flow too.

Thus, we come up with an agreement that our selection criteria will first be the layout & 90sqm. Basically, there are 2 types of layout for the 4 rooms flat, 2 type of floor size - 85 & 90 sqm & finally 2 types of facing - either facing outside or inside. We went to do a site visit on one saturday & there are 2 kind souls that let us in to take a look at our prefered layout. It was indeed the kind of layout that we want coz it's much spacious. Then we also look at how we can re-engineer the kitchen door to make it more spacious. :-) It was a good trip & also we agree that we dont want to stay too high coz Airrence find it scary! heheee...

So on the day before our selection, we are left with 15 units of the prefered layout flats. Thus, we came up with our top 30 unit numbers in the order of preference & prayed that God will keep one of the top 15units for us.

God is good. On the day of our selection, only the top choice was taken though our appointment is at 3.30pm. We get to choose our flat at 4pm and yes, we got Blk 3B #16-624!! YipEE our second choice for that day!!

On the following sunday, we went to take a look at our flat & just realise that there is a playground below so our baby adelle is very happy loh!! :p

Sixth checkup - 8th Sep 2007

This is part of our regular monthly checkup & also to see how big our baby Adelle has grown...

Dr Adrian told us that the results of detailed scan aka FA test results show baby Adelle is healthy and normal. Thank God for His blessings and protection on our little baby. :-)

The estimated weight based on the measurements is 521gram for 21+ weeks. Wow baby adelle put on 160+grams within a week. Yeah... finally mummy can see that baby is taking some weight in her else will feel guilty for putting on 12-14kg to date... ha! :-p

Okie, here is baby Adelle picture. She is in a comfortable position which is said that baby at this week is developing his/her sleeping pattern. Mummy Debbie & Daddy Airrence are very excited after knowing our bb is a girl & wanted to share with everyone that our baby girl name will be named as Adelle Neo. The meaning of Adelle is noble & also known as Woman of Esteem from the keychain that we saw in Life Bookshop. See http://www.babynamesworld.com/meaning_of_Adelle.html.

Her chinese name still haven't decided yet coz initially wanted 诗恩 but get to know friends have that name(sounds alike) so we are thinking of 恩琪 where 恩 = kind & 琪 = angel.

We pray that bb will grow up to be a noble, kind & like an angel loh... Very got "ink" rite! ha.....

Detail scan @ 20th week - 31st Aug

Finally the "truth" is out!

Well, we've been waiting to know whether bb is boy or girl so that we can start to buy some nice clothes for bb. During the recent taka fair, i bought 2 pcs of 3-6mth romper which cost only 2 for $6. But becoz we dunno bb boy or girl so we bought colors like white with green trim with printed text- "I love my mummy" & white with blue trim with printed text "Daddy little helper". Besides that, we also bought Pigeon sterilizer that comes with lotsa goodie like food/milk warmer, new born starter kit that comes with 3 milk bottles & brush & pacifier & extra milk bottles. We also bought a green & yellow bear bed sheet & bb cot bumper set coz Airrence brother is passing us the baby cot so we just buy the new bedsheet, pillow, 2 booster & bumper set & save some $$. His brother also passed us the playpen too. Haven't go thr my checklist of things to buy yet. Once i have done that, i will list out what are the outstanding stuffs that i would like to receive as gifts... hehehee.... :-p

Okie back to the "truth". We brought forward our detailed scan date & although our appt not updated in the appt record but we only waited 30mins this time as compared to 3hrs previously. The first question we asked was "Is bb a boy or girl?" So the sonographer try to check but bb still remain shy as usual & the legs are either closed or cross regardless how hard the sonographer tried to "shake" bb. Hence, the sonographer decided to scan from the butt. Well.... the result is ...... GIRL!!! ;-) Daddy Airrence is very happy loh coz he love girl mah! Mummy Debbie is also happy coz it has confirmed the bb girl that mummy dreamt of 3-4 mths back & now can buy more pink stuffs loh.... hehehee... We dont have the scan results detailed yet but generally, we are told that bb is healthy & everything is normal. The estimated weight based on the measurements is 359gram for 20 weeks. We also saw the eyes, nose, mouth, heart flow, brain of bb. The most interesting part was bb was doing crossing her hands up & down like dancing loh... quite funny sight! So i think bb is a potential dancing queen when she grow up!

After the checkup, we went shopping. Daddy drove to Kaki Bukit area coz mummy was recommended by forum mummies that there are Baby Hyperstore & Baby Kingdom selling cheaper prams & baby stuff. We found the place & the price was quite ok or similar to those that selling at Taka fair. Mummy was eyeing on the pooh bear clothes which cost 3 for $10 but couldnt decide which color to buy so didnt buy. We looked around & was recommended by a shopper to buy Pre perego pram but we didnt buy yet coz still have time to shop around. Bascially, there are few good brand for pram - Pre perego, Capella(From Korea), Combi & Maclaren..

Our next shopping stop was Giant Tampines. Mummy saw a pink princess romper for new born so bought it & some more it's cheap - $2.90 leh!! hehee... Then mummy also chose a pack of 3 socks - 2 pink & 1 blue which cost $4.90. So hopefully the size is ok & bb can wear on the full month party or during cny! :-)

Baby first movement - 30th Aug 2007

Yeah... finally after 20 weeks, i experience my baby movement.... it was a kind of bubbling effect but can tell that it is not stomach flu but it's my beloved bb who is having fun loh...
Anyway, it was kind of interesting & when hubby put his face on my tummy, he said he felt "slap" by bb. hahaha... :p So our bb very mischevious hor... Going for detailed scan on 31st Aug & will know bb gender liao!

Airrence birthday - 28th July 2008

A month overdue blog about hubby birthday... hehehe... :p Coz life has been busy eversince i'm at 2nd trimester... now full of energy & can go shopping shopping & more shopping!!

Okie back to the topic of hubby birthday. We started celebrating on 27th July(fri) coz hubby's colleague wedding on 28th July so has to advance celebrate. Secretly, i booked My Secret Garden(http://www.mysg.com.sg/) for a candle-light dinner at 7pm but hubby was busy at work so we only managed to reach the restaurant at 8pm.

When we reached there, we were brought to a corner and instead of taking the "secret" menu which the restaurant manager told me during my reservation, i decided to go for ala-carte menu cause it much more worth the value & bascially the food in "secret" menu are all from the ala-carte menu. We ordered Calamari rings for starter, lobster bisque soup, roasted chicken & beef tenderloin for main course & dessert which is also Airrence first birthday cake - "sin in love", chocolate brownie with ice cream . Yummy!! The food taste good & we had a great time having a romantic dinner eversince valentine day. :)

Whats make the dinner memorable was there is a singer+guitarist who go around the indoor table & sing songs for you. I requested for Happy Birthday song & the singer also offer Airrence a song request & he sang another english song which i cannot recall what's the song title. We love the songs & enjoying ourselves that nite.

Next day, we went to Airrence colleague wedding. I secretly ordered a birthday cake on friday evening & intended to surprise Airrence on his actual day birthday so that we can also celebrate with his colleagues. Well, my plot fail to succeed coz after much tots, i told him that i need to go CK Tang to get something before heading to Regent & he smells a rat!! Hehee... So bopian, he saw the cake & we did celebrate with his colleagues. A week later, we celebrated Airrence birthday but this time with our cell group friends.

Fifth checkup - 10th Aug 2007

This visit was super packed @ clinic coz many mtbs took leave as the day before(9th Aug) is National day. We decided to save up our annual leave so only reached the clinic at 6.30pm & waited for 1 hr b4 seeing gynae at 7.45pm. We are looking forward to see how much bb has grown and gynae did a u/s scan. We can see that bb has indeed grown big liao... now 17 weeks old but hor, still cannot see whether bb is boy or girl leh... coz gynae say the legs are closed so can't tell. So we concluded that bb is shy shy loh like daddy..... hahahaa.... :-p
